Jessica Johnston graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor in Podiatry in 2009. She has gone on to complete postgraduate study in the field of Diabetes Education from Curtin University and is currently working towards an MBA. After growing up in Essendon and attending St. Columbas College, she was committed to continuing her professional career in the area.
She has an extensive range of clinical experience from her time working across a tertiary hospital, outpatient rehabilitation service, community health centre and private practice.
Outside of the clinic, Jessica is the Chair person for the Australian Podiatry Association’s Victorian committee. She is a graduate of the Leadership Victoria ‘Health Sector Leadership Program’ and a mentor to university students. Jessica is the Podiatry consultant for the footwear brand ‘Clarks’ and represents the brand during their back to school campaigns. As part of this role she has been featured on Channel 7’s Sunrise, The Herald Sun, KidSpot and news.com.au. In mid 2018 she travelled to North East Arnhem land with the SOS Health Foundation to deliver volunteer Podiatry services to remote indigenous communities.
Jessica has a passion for improving the foot health of individuals and the wider community. She has been an invited speaker to many school, corporate and community events and has successfully delivered presentations on varied health promotion topics to educate and empower attendees.
Outside of Podiatry, her two young children, Ivy (3) and Charles (2) keep her on her feet and as a family they love travelling, going to the park and swimming.
She has a special interest in:
- Diabetes foot care and education
- Children’s foot health and footwear
- Dealing with chronic foot pain
- The effects of the ageing process on feet
Days of work: Tuesday & alternating Wednesdays
Rachel Di Vincenzo
B.HSc M.PodPrac – Associate Podiatrist
Rachel graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Heath Science and Master of Podiatric Practice in 2014. Rachel has grown up in the Essendon area and is a past student of Penleigh and Essendon Grammar.
Rachel works part time with MVFAC and part time in the Public Health sector as a supervising clinical Podiatrist.
Rachel is highly skilled in all areas of Podiatry but has a special interest in:
- Musculoskeletal complaints and sporting injuries
- Footwear advice (past member of The Athletes Foot team)
- Diabetic foot care
- Ingrown toenail management
Days of work: Monday, Friday and Saturdays.
NOTE: Rachel is on leave until 16 November 2018 to enjoy her honeymoon.
B.HSc M.PodPrac – Podiatrist
Stephanie graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Podiatric Practice in 2014. Stephanie has grown up in the North Eastern suburbs and has worked across Melbourne providing exemplary podiatry care to patients. She has worked for the reputable footwear store ‘Active Feet’, giving her a solid understanding of footwear available for your chosen sport or activity.
Stephanie also works part time in Public Health and will be covering Rachel’s sessions while she is away.
Stephanie enjoys all aspects of podiatry but has a particular interest in:
- Sports and Biomechanical injuries
- Nail surgeries
- General foot care
